How to downgrade iOS 8 or iOS 7 to iOS 6 on Apple iPad 2

How to downgrade iOS 8 or iOS 7 to iOS 6 on Apple iPad 2

In this Video, I show you how to downgrade iOS 7 or 8 back to the remarkable performance of the iOS 6 on the iPad 2 (does it work for iPhone 4? There is no reason why it should't).

Everyone who still has the old 2nd generation tablet wishes to go back to the performance of iOS 6. of course it doesn't give support for new apps but it does not make the iPad 2 look so old when it comes to performance.

so how to do it?
you will need redsn0w version 0.9.15.b3, iOS 5.0.1 and any iOS 4 that you used in the past with saved shsh blobs on the device. in this case I used iOS 4.3.5.

the steps are very easy:
1. You will to enter DFU mode on the iPad (while connected to your computer) by holding power and home button until the screen goes black for about 7 seconds then release the power button while holding the home button for another 7  seconds and then you can release the home button.
2. Open redsn0w and go to extras -> even more -> restore -> IPSW to be restored to.
3. select iOS 5.0.1 then it will tell you that it needs additional IPSW, just hit ok.
4. select iOS 4 that you have (mine was 4.3.5) .
5. it will start the restoring process, when it finishes, you have a message that restoring was successful.
6. the rest will be on your device, set up iOS 5.0.1 then navigate to general -> software update and download iOS 6.1.3
7. hit install and wait until your iPad finishes.
8. Congratulations, you have iOS 6.1.3 back on your iPad
9. enjoy
10. don't forget to subscribe :)

  3. Can you answer the October postings question about "shsh blobs"? What are these and how do we determine if they are present? Please don't leave us hanging, we know you're an expert, but you know we are not....Help please.
